I was in middle school when this thread was started, and President Obama wasn't even sworn in for his first term yet.

Crawford trolled him into insanity and made him leave the forum.

That being said, I don't miss him at all.

When I was in college I was in a high rise dorm across from another high rise dorm and you could easily see in the other dorm. I would see attractive young women undressing pretty much every week without even really meaning to look. Thought that was odd until one caught me staring at her.. and just smiled and went right on undressing. People aren't stupid, they know others can see in. They either don't care or maybe even get off on it.

That's not why he left the forum. I'm still FB friends with him. Good guy.

I know this is a zombie thread and has been answered, but I agree with the consensus - it's the responsibility of the apartment dwellers to put up blinds if they want privacy.

Honestly, I don't see any ethical problem with watching people through their windows. The only ethical responsibility I would advocate for is never bringing up behavior with someone you've seen do something interesting. Forcing them to acknowledge their lack of privacy would be, in my opinion, in and of itself a violation of privacy. Letting them ignore their lack of privacy is at least the polite thing to do, and I think the ethical thing to do.

But is it even considered privacy when you don’t attempt to conceal yourself? I’ve seen many a telescope positioned in front of the plate glass windows that line high-rise buildings in Chicago, and I’m pretty sure they aren’t there for star gazing.

Personally, I have no problem with the idea of having a telescope there. After all, it is your view… Thoughts?
i guarantee they are scanning the cementy seas for pirate BOOOOTY.

me too.

I dont know him personally but he and I were on the outs due to my pigheaded response to a very legitimate grievance he had over something related to my faith, which he posted about it in current events, golly this was years ago--and I replied the wrong way. I could have handled it way better.

Looking back, it's amazing how experience and a few more years of living puts things into perspective, even for the most dense person such as I was.

Anyhow hope he's doing well, I genuinely do.

Then why did he since that was the last I saw of him, he made some "molestation" remark about Crawford, got suspended and never returned.
