As a 10 year old kid joked at me a few weeks ago (true story) - don't antagonize them, they might burn down the Saddledome.

On a more sombre note, man the Flames suck the fat one this year, they can't buy a goal!
Our only goal last night was actually put in by Daniel Alfredsson.

Bourque was the best guy on the ice last night. I say if we do end up trading him, do it while he's on a hot streak to get as much out of the deal as possible.

Oddly enough, when the Flames score a goal at home we have these gas-powered flames that shoot out from around the scoreboard. Needless to say when Vancouver comes to town we don't see them often - but the jokes about flames coming from the other direction have been made.

I remember a few years ago when the Oilers were in Calgary, Roloson made an impossible save on a 2nd or 3rd rebound around the Oilers net, and the guy operating the scoreboard made the fire shoot out and the goal horn blast away, but the play was still alive.

The puck was rolling around in the corner and there wasn't a player on the ice who wasn't confused for a couple of seconds.

That was pretty damn funny.

I've seen that happen a few times too

I bet the guy operating the flame/horn feels like a complete boob when pressing the button when there's no goal. And if he doesn't, he should.

This St. Denis dude looked terrible in the pre-season Hopefully he won't play too much today.

Quote:
With Hal Gill sidelined tonight with the flu and Jaroslav Spacek watching from the press box with an upper body injury, the team called up defenceman Frederic St. Denis from Hamilton of the American Hockey League.

Having St. Denis on the back end playing his first NHL game, the Canadiens will have only one defenceman - Josh Gorges - who's over the age of 25 and has over 100 regular season games under his belt. The rest of the blueline will be made up of sophomores P.K. Subban and Yannick Weber and rookies Alexei Emelin and Raphael Diaz.

Canucks and Hawks, should be a good game. I predict a breakout night for David Booth, playing with Hodgeson and Lapierre.

GO CANUCKS!

The Canes sucks!!!

Nice to see Price with his first shutout of the season.

We're finally above .500 (7-2-1 in the last 10 games)!

On the bright side, just like last year, an embarrassing loss to the Hawks might be just what the Canucks need to kick it into high gear.

Awful game.

The fact we almost came back from a 0-3 deficit is mind-boggling considering how bad we played tonight.

Also I hate to say it but we probably win the game with Price in nets.

I am impressed by Pacioretty's progress this season though. Has been very consistent so far, and surprisingly the Habs' best forward.

Best offensive forward yes but Plekanec is still the best forward overall. He plays PP, PK, ES and can defend a lead better than anybody. He still is today one of the most underrated player in the NHL.

The surprising thing about Pacs is his 9 ES goals. He has yet to score on the PP.

It's going to be an interesting battle between those 2 for the team scoring lead... Pleky is the 2 times defending champion.
