If you look to the extreme lower left of the last pic you can make out a jetliner inbound for Newark Int'l. Kinda spooky looking!

Weather is not the problem. NYC has been unseasonably warm and dry all month.

It's weird because I noticed that the black cloud in the first picture looked like a plane too..

I know that with the floors close to the top, being mechanical floors, that it will take more time to complete, and it will be a slower process. I just hope to hell that it is not an indefinite delay, due to politics or bureaucratic bullshit. If it is slowed because of the complexity of the mechanical floors, that's all right. That is, if that is due to the details of the job, and if that was to be expected. There are just so many rumours and hearsay bandied around here, so can somebody give credible answer?

Once again, can somebody please confirm the truth?

Yeah,I couldn't find any news on DCM's bankruptcy. Guess it was just some propaganda crap that someone made up or a misunderstanding. Can't wait until One World Trade Center is the tallest building in NYC. Speaking of that, judging from these conditions, when will 1 WTC surpass the ESB?

My guess would be in late February or early March but I don't know for sure.

Has this been asked before? If not then I have to ask because it sounds interesting. What materials are being used for the antenna/spire? Considering how tall the One World Trade's Spire/antenna is, How "shiny" will the antenna get once the sun hits? Could the shine of the antenna be seen miles "deeper" within New Jersey or any other place from lower Manhattan given the materials used ?

From http://www.wtc.com/about/freedom-tow...-center-design

Quote:
The crown of 1 World Trade Center is the 408-foot antenna, which will consist of a mast and a communication platform ring. The mast will be protected by a one-of-a-kind fiberglass panel system that will resist wind loading, and create a protected maintenance area. At the base of the mast, a tetrahedral lattice ring will support media transmission equipment and brace eight radio-frequency transparent Kevlar guy cables that support the mast. When lit at night, a beacon at the top will send out a horizontal light beam that can be seen from miles away.
Basically the mast would be steel covered with fiberglass, have a beacon that would be lit at night, and would be anchored to the roof with Kevlar cables.

Well by shiny, the glass is extremely bright at sunset from here in Morristown, NJ: 40 miles away. I posted a photo a little while back of it at sunset...however I can only see it from a high point here, such as the 9/11 memorial ironically. The spire will light a beacon that will be project a beam visible nearly 3,000 feet up and seen from 70 miles+..it will also flash the letter "N" for New York in morse code
