When the team is working 7 days a week - no surprise this is going up so quickly.

How long do you guys think it will take till it gets Topped off? Its probably my favourite project in Surrey at the moment. Shaping up to be a game changer in the area

That whole area is coming along great. I hope that this spurs on other people in the neighbourhoood to start other projects

The streetscape here will, I am sure, turn out very much nicer than Metrotown, perhaps Brentwood also.

Having recently walked around Metrotown, I was struck by how unwalkable it actually is. For all the developments going in there, they're all separated by huge streets, massive traffic flows, and poorly placed pedestrian flows.

I think the city of Surrey beside the development of highrises has really done well with planning the streetscape of the city other than some few hiccups like the Hub but it has done mostly well.

On another note, is the SFU surrey residential building that they plan of building in the late future, will it be where the smaller SFU crane is locate?

I completely agree. Hopefully the new Station Square development will start to change that trend.

IMO, if Surrey were to take a cue from a suburb on how to develop in a walkable manner, it would either Richmond or Coquitlam.

The Surrey Central / West Village area is already pleasantly walkable. Streets are calm, pedestrian scaled, nicely landscaped, nice sidewalks in places. Will improve even moreso with the filling in of the streetscape with new buildings, expansion of plazas, pedestrian walkways, planned new roads and new lanes.

103 Avenue (Central Avenue) will make a big difference when it opens in 2018 connecting all the way from 132 st to King George Blvd (and then eventually to Whalley Blvd and beyond). There is just one section of 103 Ave to the west of Prime on the Plaza that may be a missing link until those properties are redeveloped.

Example of the walkways being developed through the area:

Grand 5-storey artium starting to take shape. Large and imposing feel in person.
