This is a thread for all the Eastside projects that aren't skyscrapers in downtown Bellevue, which already have their own threads.

Links to Bellevue project threads:
Bellevue Towers
Washington Square
The Bravern
Lincoln Square

European Tower

Here are some projects
Redmond City Hall, it should be opening soon if it hasn't already (these pictures are from November)

the parking garage

Sammamish Commons/Sammamish City Hall, under construction and will be complete in June

Live camera of it being built

Sammamish Town Center, some potential lay outs in PDF format, as well as pictures from other projects that citizens can comment on what they like and don't, etc. Includes interesting summaries of four other suburban town center projects in the area.

The Issaquah Highlands Park & Ride is a pretty nice place, I mean for a Park & Ride. And it seems to get a lot of use too.

They have started digging at 1020 Tower, and Washington Square has updated their website and now are offering units in Tower #2.

The much anticipated fast food place has started construction near Eastlake High School. No one knows what it is, but I'm sure it will be bad for my health.

Hahaha, I thought about mentioning that.

Two years ago it was going to "probably be a Taco Bell" according to the city council.

Don't know if it still will be, but I think that is the most likely.

Redmond City Hall is complete and operational, and getting lots of good press. My firm, Lewis, was the contractor.

GHC Eastside on 116th? (405) & NE8th put up a sign and started some minor excavation work yesterday. Or does this belong in the Overlake Medical center thread?

Group Health broke ground on their new 200,000 sq.ft. facility yesterday. It should open in 2008 and then GH will abandon their overlake campus.

Not sure if anyone knows this but I noticed that they've started excavating on the 1020 tower site.

word is yes. I just drove by and there are two backhoes but no excavation. Just street level dirt.

I saw an ad today in both the Seattle & Eastside papers about a new 30 story condo called vipBellevue. The ad says that it will be attached to one of the country's premier, upscale department stores. The website also said it will have a 5-star boutique hotel. Does anyone know where this will be located?

Could Bellevue Square be getting a condo tower?

If so, I'm sure it would do well. Some people actually like the place.

ps, their website, www.vipbellevue.com, is poorly written by the same people who did several for Seattle projects.

This time they had the apostrophe in "you'll", but again they misunderstand commas. There shouldn't be a comma after "premier".

Yes, and to be able to view their website I had to run my IE browser with Administrator privileges. You shouldn't have to do that in order to view a webpage.
