That 3rd shot looks unreal, like something in a movie, a future skyline dropped into an old city. Very cool.

Damn right.
I started hearing the "AKIRA" soundtrack in my head when I saw this shot!

Three projects in Moscow City should resume construction in April-May:

Eurasia Tower

Transport Terminal

City Palace

Hopefully, in a few months, almost entire Moscow City will be U/C once again.

Unfortunately, no news so far about City Hall and Duma, negotiations with investors are still ongoing.

So, latest news: government of Moscow has withdrawn from City Hall and Duma project.
It was not unexpected, former mayor Luzhkov is gone and new one, Sobyanin, does not seem to be the kind of man who would approve a new skyscraper for Moscow's government.

If the project will be transfered to private developer or will be changed is unknown as of now.

Good news:

Moscow government changed it's decision to cancel City Hall and Duma project and is returning to original 800 000 sqm project.

It actually says that the site is being auctioned off with the intention to build a 800k sq meter commercial building(s). It says nothing about returning to the original project. The good news is, they were about to build a massive parking lot on that site before the decision to auction off the site.

Watch the 1949 classic The Fountainhead and you'll get your answer.

Wow, that is certainly a cool cluster of buildings. That has dramatically changed the skyline.

This is turning in to a great CBD. Good job Moscow! One of the world's powerhouse cities deserves this.
