Maybe the Argyle end will become mural space latter down the road to spruce things up near the proposed townhomes.
You would also think that the developers would not be requesting $4.4mm in TIF funds either.
The new station will be at the site of the current station, extending south
from Lawrence to a point south of Leland. That means the retaining wall will face Ravenswood Ave, not a parking lot.
Unlike the rendering, though, the angled parking facing the railroad tracks will become a narrower lane of parallel parking. That gives Metra a 9' strip in which to plant some fairly sizable trees, shrubs, and vines to obscure the wall.
