MOSCOW | IBC, Mercury City Tower | 381 M - Official / 332 M - Roof | 70 FLOORS


plot 14: 0,4975 hectares leased by Capital City Developments for 49 years represented by contract to Mercury City Towers.

70 storey 332 meters tall building, architected by Mikhail Posokhin, Frank Williams and G. Sirota. Designed by International Center of Highrise Construction. Technical client - TUSK-1 Moskapstroy. Investor and owner - Mercury City Tower.

Zero phase works by Monarch (together with plot 15).

-5 - -3 floors: parking for 440 cars
-2 floor: technical
-1 floor: retail
1 - 2 floors: entrance, restaurants and retail
2 - 38 floors: offices
39 floor: techincal
40 - 70 floors: apartments, fitness centers, spa and restaurants
66 floor: techincal


architectural conception approved on 20 april 2006. techincal will be approved in june.

works begun in november and planned to complete by the end of 2008.

Not a bad design. But it looks a little dated. It looks like an early 80's design to me. But as with all of the projects going in Moscow. It will probably look better in reality than it does in the model/rendering.

well, there is no renderings yet...

btw. i think 332m is by the tip of roof cone. i think spire catch some 400m.

nice design but forgive me for asking, what is that huge thing in the middle on the 2nd picture all in blue. that thing is tight !!!

I'm confused??? Looks like the same Foster project, except at half the height, 332m vs. 600m. Same pattern on the cross bracing and everything. Did the Foster project get cancelled and this tower is replacing it?

You are probably confused... what is in the middle of the 3D model is still the 600 m Foster project, the Mercury tower is the one to the left of it, and it looks like this:

here is scan from arx04 magazine. they have 29 pages related to moscow ibc in this edition with many renderings and plans. few of them scanned and posted in russian section of ssc.

so here is scan of mercury city tower. they say it's 332 meters by roof and 380 meters by spire!

I like super-fast constructions.

This design looks really nice, but they should release other renderings from different angles.
