excellent addition to Winnipeg! and thanks for continuing to post up the picts 1ajs, it gives folks like me in Calgary a chance to see what is happening in your city.

I do with the height would be twice as tall, maybe there is a future vertical phase maybe? That would be simply hot.
One of the best new buildings I have seen here in Canada within the last few years.

I think it's a pretty high-end looking tower for Winnipeg. Very nice.

this thread shows how slow this tower has progressed as of late. i understand most of the progress is happening inside but you would think they could cover the solar chimney in less than 6 months?
edit: make that 8 months lol

Mayor Sam Katz (left to right) Premier Gary Doer and Manitoba Hydro CEO Bob Brennan cut the ribbon at the official opening of the Manitoba Hydro building in downtown Winnipeg Tuesday morning.

WINNIPEG - The newest jewel of downtown Winnipeg was officially unveiled in a star-studded ribbon-cutting ceremony this morning.
Premiere Doer and Mayor Katz headlined the dignitaries on hand for the grand opening of Manitoba Hydro’s new $278 million headquarters.
"I only have one word: ‘Wow,’" Katz said.
Doer praised the state-of-the-art energy efficient building as a shining symbol of the future of downtown Winnipeg.
"This is a great addition to the skyline of Winnipeg, isn’t it?"
More than 300 people on three levels of the building’s atrium took in the festivities, which included a performance by the Royal Winnipeg Ballet.

I don't mean to bump up an old thread (sorry!) but just wondering if anyone knows if this is possible?

It looks pretty done and done to me! Although there are 1650 ppl working there, Hydro does employ over 6000. They still have some offices on Taylor (I think).

Any word on those guys moving in?
