Holiday season in San Francisco

SF during the holidays is one of the more festive places I've seen...the decorations, the crowds, the window displays in the big department stores...it's a lot of fun! I took these pictures earlier tonight.

Ferry Building

Hyatt lobby (Holiday Village)

101 California St.

E-Trade pavilion (green ticker...very holiday-appropriate!)

Palace Hotel

Crocker Galleria

Union Square

Saks Fifth Avenue

Cable car

Williams-Sonoma flagship (3 floors of W-S goodness!)

Macy's

Neiman-Marcus

Macy's window display

Macy's window display (the little furry guy in the middle was up for adoption)

Union Square from 7th floor of Macy's

"Holiday Season"?

Your political correctness insults me.

Great idea! I've been thinking about taking shots of the decorations, but you beat me to it and did a better job than I would have. Thanks!!

You can see a bunch of them here (this page is the result of a Flickr search). I tried to capture the building lights but it wasn't dark enough at the time.

Love that Christmas season in SF! I'm not very PC...don't know why I said "holiday season"...heh.

Very nice, well done. Christmas time in the city never fails to amaze me. I'll be moving back to SF next week, just in time to enjoy it myself .

Even if I don't miss the drizzle and the flu I invariably get riding with 50 other sick people on Muni, I do miss the lights and the stuff like the "dance-it-yourself Nutcracker" (no, I've never danced). SF and NY do Christmas really well. Chicago can be almost a little too cold to enjoy walking around outside and seeing the lights and store windows.
