Terrible cell picture, but it shows that Harveys is definitely one of the tenants.

This is a great thread! Does anyone know what's going on beside the Ultramar that's near the Airport? I first heard it was going to be a Tims/Wendys, but haven't seen anything come of it in over a year..

What happened to the rumour of Second Cup going in that building as well? Anyone have insight? I recall a post saying they were looking to open multiple locations in SJ too, and I'm really pulling for an Uptown locale that might stay open until 10 or 11 at night.

The Second Cup in Freddy is open until 10 and is always busy...pretty much lol. I never go to Tim Horton's...I'm a Second Cup guy :p It's nice to have places open later downtown. Read's is open until 10 too...but they are more then just coffee and sweets.

IIRC Tim Horton's on King Street would be 24 hours but they close at 10 because of the amount of drunks and others uptown. You can ask the employees at Subway on King Street about how fun it is working until three or four AM when the bars close. Tim's on Waterloo is 24 Hours.

There's been another fire in the North End, this time on a property on Albert Street between Newman and Victoria.

There's another drive thru window to the right of the weight watchers - in Toronto Harveys and Second Cup are in a number of combined locations - does anyone else see the irony in having Harveys and Weight Watchers side by side?!

Not sure if this has been posted, but Breakhouse has posted some new renderings for the Moosehead brewery on the West Side, and I think something like this could do wonders for making Main Street West more of a destination, and help the area grow since it is identified as a priority in PlanSJ.

Thought I'd share since it's a hell of a lot more interesting than a new Harvey's out East haha

This actually makes me very happy to see. I love it! I could see this as being one of the top things to see/do in Saint John along with a brewery tour considering their beer is sold worldwide. I actually dislike 'Moose Green' 50% of the time, but I drink it with pride when I am elsewhere in the world because it boldly sports the name of my home town.

It's great that this Moosehead project is being given consideration. I think it would be great!

I hadn't heard of anything recently prior to yesterday. Maybe a year or more ago I heard the building was unsalvageable. I hope the school doesn't see the same fate.

Suspicious destinations, but news nonetheless I guess....

Saint John Airport will be extending where it flies.

The airport will over new direct air services and connections to major centres in Quebec, Newfoundland and Labrador.

The news means the Saint John Airport will be the only one in the province offering direct flights to Quebec City and Bonaventure.

The official announcement will be made this Tuesday at the Saint John Airport.

Such destinations would be more logically served from Moncton Airport or even Bathurst Airport!

I did a little research and the only company that I can see that flies to all those markets is a company called Pascan Aviation. They are a Quebec regional airline. Quite an extensive network. Great news for Saint John. First flight from New Brunswick to Quebec City. Bathurst? Really?
