Correction for Radio Mast Thule

Radio Mast Thule ( http://www.skyscraperpage.com/cities/?buildingID=870 )
is according to http://www.thuleforum.com/north_mountain.htm 378.25 metres (1241 ft) tall. It was built according to "Turmbauwerke, Bauverlag GmbH, Wiesbaden (Deutschland), Germany, 1966" in 1954, where it is called "Funkmast der US-Luftwaffe in der Arktis".

It is also called "Globecom Tower".

Radio Mast Thule was lectrically insulated against ground. It had one elevator inside, that run until a height of 360 metres.
Radio Mast Thule, whose construction was similiar to that of Forestport Tower, was used for transmitting telex messages to Goose Bay, Canada on the longwave frequency 68.9 kHz. The callsign of the transmitter was XPH.
Further it was used for VLF-transmission test to submerged submarines.

An interesting fact is that Radio Mast Thule was found on permafrost soil.

On your drawing of the Thule Mast:

The page you posted about the Thule mast stats that the tower is an orange pole. Is this not true?

Also, please clean out your private message box.
