Post links to Youtube/other sources with Video of your City/Skyline ETC.

Carrying this over from another thread, because I think its a good idea.

Share progoganda/youtube/random videos that show or promote your city/region. Videos of any sort really, as long as they pertain a city/region in Canada, and are about that specific city/region.

Those Edmonton ones are painful to watch.

This is a very well done commercial that features the skyline of Toronto and many other cities. there are plenty of music videos with some great shots as well, but I won't bother with those.

^ (2 posts) the transition from Baba O'Riley to that other song is sooooo well done! Awesome video.

feepa, that youtube one is hilariously bad. Why they would choose to use (a bad imitatation of) Woody Allen's voice to narrarate is beyond me.

Um, there is no transition. It's the same song throughout.

Two guys taking a drive around town, in the winter. Stanzi will love this.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=QyQ_rCjTOHg

They go for a drive around Downtown Port Arthur, narrating various interesting crap and showing how mind numbingly dead this city is in the winter at night.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=6C1TNH84wt8

CP Rail Freight Train going past the Government Building in Downtown Port Arthur

http://youtube.com/watch?v=9R45iHqeSFo

An 11 second clip of Thunder Bay Transit pulling out of Brodie Street Depot.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=e7RiyA0_Xfk

Pano of the city with commentary of the night drive guys. It's kinda funny. Around 2:50 there is an interesting clip. The guys narrating it are SO stereotypically Canadian!

http://youtube.com/watch?v=1BKt5gY2H...elated&search=

Plane landing at the airport at night. Some good night shots of Fort William along Arthur Street. If you watch it until the end there is a decent shot of Bowater's pollution towers.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=2ZiANfJL_dY

A ride on a Thunder Bay Transit D40LF. The person gets off right by the emergency exit at the Safeway I work at!

http://youtube.com/watch?v=1ZSNM8nML9E

WARNING: IVANKA. Do not click if Swedish accents annoy you. The local 'celebrity' takes a walk around Bay and Algoma, the most popular spot in Thunder Bay. Some good shots of the storefronts.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=-3y-Z3iUGUc

View of the city from the lookout on the side of Mount McKay.

Not exactly a city view or anything, but just for the Northern accent, you HAVE to see this one: http://youtube.com/watch?v=S7WEnUF6WVs

Like I said, Stanzi would love it!

http://youtube.com/watch?v=Y53N34dfcvU

Thunder Bay Television morning sign on. Some good views of the TV station and their twin towers, and a decent shot over the Hillcrest neighbourhood in College Heights.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=zCuqPSzCHO4

Halifax's Matt Mays and el Torpedo playing a free show in Downtown Port Arthur (Sam Roberts was there too but Matt Mays is better). The only real form of entertainment here is the countless free concerts in the summer. The only thing the city does right. You'll need more than your hands and feet to count all of the obese people. It also demonstrates an interesting syndrome everyone here has, where they stay absolutely still at concerts. Lest they spill the Canadian, eh?

There were only 7 pages last time I looked up Thunder Bay, now it's up to 21.

Posted this in the Winnipeg thread a few days back, but found it fun to watch. It's a bit dated, most of the projects have already been completed.

This film has a cute retro opening.

Here's the promo to a local webtv rip-off of "The Apprentice" called "The North Bay Apprentice" that tries to make the city look all big and flashy like New York - it's so bad it's almost good!

http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...orth+Bay%2C+ON

Edit: Here's another North Bay apprentice episode that starts off sounding like a promotional video for North Bay.
