Your City's Mayor

Thought it might be interesting for a thread to know who is the mayor of your city (This doesn't necessarily mean the big city that's nearby, it should mean the actual city you reside in.) If you live in a borough of a larger city, you can choose to feature your borough mayor or city mayor.

Give a bit of background on the mayor (and accomplishments if any), and post a photo if you like. For fun, give the mayor a rating out of 10 (0 being the lowest and 10 being the highest).

If your city's mayor is already mentioned, feel free to make your own comments about your mayor and leave a rating along with it.

Mayor of my city (St. Lambert, QC)

Sean Finn

Finn is quite high up in the CN hierarchy. He seems to run St. Lambert as a hobby, or a part-time job. So far he has accomplished very little. Although since he was one of the people who spearheaded the demerger campaign (from Longueuil), he was elected by the majority of St. Lambert residents (who have a large amount lot of pride for their city, which in many ways seems more like a small town than a suburb)

Rating: 2/10

Waterloo

Mayor Brenda Halloran - former nurse and Canada Revenue Agency employee and rookie politician - she beat out the incumbent and a former mayor.. Waterloo residents voted for change! Not enough time since the election to give any sort of rating yet.

What? Did he get re-elected?? :O

The mayor of the town to the west, Oliver-Paipoonge... Her name is Lucy Kloosterhuis. That's "KLOO-ster-WHO-iss".

Second best name after Kaj Hasselriis. That's "KAI HASSLE-reese".

North Bay's mayor is Victor Fedeli, who recently won his second term. He ran his own very successful advertising company and retired a very wealthy man at a young age. I guess he figured he had nothing better to do than run for mayor so that he could become an adman for the city. He is so slick it has to be seen to be believed.

Hamilton's Mayor Fred Eisenberger has only been on the job for about 3 weeks but so far so good.

Here's his myspace account, http://www.myspace.com/fredformayor

That's the one thing I like about Fred is that he tries to connect with the young people of Hamilton. Under the music section he likes Justin Timberlake lol

Here is Winnipeg mayor Sam Katz, delivering the city's 2006 operating budget in front of a dirty Ford Taurus. Nothing could have been more appropriate.
