Are these pictures of a scale model of SLC? Nah, they're just pictures that I played with in Photoshop earlier today to make them look like scale models, or at least tried to. I needed a break from endless studying. (A cookie goes to the person who can provide the mechanism for the release of diptheria toxin by C. diptheriae) My free web hosting expires in a few weeks so I figured I'd resurrect some past pictures taken by me (w/ the exception of the first pic) but as a new interpretation.

I like the 2nd to last pic I think it was with the skyline buildings maked taller. For sure downtown needs taller buildings. Let's hope within 10 years salt lake's skyline will have alot more buildings.......taller buildings for that matter added to our skyline. ( City Creek Center, WTCU Tower, 222 South Main just to name a few. )

lol, nice work. I saw a small article in Discover magazine (I think), where some artist was doing similar things. However, he actually modified his camera (maybe tilted the sensor?) to give the same impression of tiny scale, it was even more dramatic of a change. Then a bit later I saw an article in National Geographic about Katrina, about a year after it hit. The photographer did the same thing, which kind of pissed me off. It made all the devastation look like a bunch of tiny dioramas, as if the disaster didn't happen to real people, but to doll houses.
