Guess that means this floor would be done in half the time or the time it took to finish the lower mechanical floors?

Also, i can see that the last floor/2 floors, the steel is gonna be painted gray... (the 4 feet splices tops are grey)

It's 2 more jumps for One World Trade Center. I don't know about Four World Trade Center.

Anywhere between 2015 and 2017. It's not much different from the original World Trade Center which had it's first building (North Tower) completed in 1970, and it's last building completed (7 World Trade Center) in 1983.

I'm predicting a 41' jump and than the 33' parapet.

World Trade Center 7 was finished until 1987.

The splices are at 1,297' of a 1,334' roof height so 41' would be about 4' into the parapet.

Design Issue

I love design of this tower but here's a problem. You can't see the angles and how it tapers from a multide of angles. Why? I thought the glass would bring that out, but it doesn't. From certain angles and distances, it looks as if it is a twin tower.

It's a design thing. At certain views it's supposed to look like the Washington Monument and at other views it is supposed to look like the former Twin Towers. That is why it is shaped like it is now.

that was the whole idea behind the design if i'm not mistaken........that at certain angles it looks like there are two towers. i never got that but i do think that was the reason for its shape

The architect David Childs, in "Rebuilding Ground Zero" stated that 1WTC was designed so as to convey two different images from different vantage points..The tapering of the tower is similar to the obelisk shape of the Washington Monument, while at other angles the tower appears straight up and down, like the old Twins..This effect was intended as a kind of homage to history and a sense of renewal, at least in the profile of the building.
