Is it for financial reasons ? If it is the case, then it's shameful that the prestige of the most emblematic skyscraper of New york is reduced just for a fistful of dollars...
So that pigeons can roost on it and poop all over the West's new symbol of freedom.

Ahh just when I actually got over the whole spire thing it get s brought up again. In all honesty the spire/antenna they show now is starting to grow on me even though I liked the original spire better. Either way it's better than nothing.

Now that we are close to the antenna rising, the full reality of what has happened will be on view for everyone.
Too bad, like anything else, most will accept it, if for only one reason - there's no other alternative. Sad but true.
I will forever be disgusted by what they have done.

Either way, the lower Manhattan skyline has returned.

Hey everyone I see NYguy has posted some more beautiful pictures as always.I also have a question for anyone who can answer it. Is the standard lighting scheme for 1 WTC now red white and blue. I thought that they would change it after the 4th.

Or when they actually reach the roof, and the core is completed to support it.

The base will be done last. They will work on the telecommunication rings first. The mast will be worked on afterwards.

Telecommunication rings my friend. Until that is done there will be no mast installation.

Really? Base Glass is to begin in October.
I'm pretty sure the mast will be done last.

BTW- Do you know if new steel will be next week?
