Best Pizza Chain in Canada

The best pizza in my opinion is Papa Johns, but unfortunately they are only out west right now and I am in Ontario. What is your favourite pizza chain in Canada?

Western Pizza is the best...Started in Regina and now they have locations in Alberta, and Arizona...

www.westernpizzaexpress.ca

They load the toppings on and the pizza still tastes fresh the next morning out of the fridge...

^^ best pizza in the country is in Regina, and you named it right there.

Not really a fan of chain pizza places.. the original mom and pop guys are the best.

Pizza Hut smells like children's vomit for some reason. Must be due to the amount of toddlers scarfing down all they can get their filthy tomato-sauced hands on at the 'all you can eat' sunday buffets. they must have industrial grade carpet in those places.. I can't see the stains, but the odor still lingers.

I'm sorry, but anybody who thinks Western is exceptional needs to try other pizza places. When they opened in Calgary I heard Sask transplants talk about it like it was the second coming of Christ, and.... it's not. It's okay. Just okay. For that Greek-style deep-dish, Nick's and Sophie's are fantastic and much better than Western.

I don't think there are any great pizza chains anywhere (never mind in Canada). There are so many good indie or small-chain places.

mmmm.....funky pickle.

Wicked Wedge in Calgary as well.

Flying Wedge in Van is not bad.

There is NO such thing as a good pizza "chain".

Best pizza I've had in AB was a "flat bread" at River Cafe, and equally impressive was a pizza I had the Iron Bridge Cafe in Edm (that's now something else at 102 ave over Groat Rd).

Have to agree with Furry on this one. The best pizza I've ever eaten is the pizza from Nick's, both from their restaurant by McMahon Stadium and from their south-side takeaway. Next time you're in Calgary, order the all-meat Number 26, the "Petros".

Apropos of nothing in particular, I think it was the son of the restaurant's founder, Tim Petros, who played as a fullback for the Stampeders in the early Nineties, and his jersey number was also 26.

Nicks/Tims pizza is far from great, Sophies is also good but to say they are both much better than WP is an opinion just like mine is of the two you mentioned...

If sask transplants say its good, that means 1 in 4 Calgarians think its good...If you ask me, thats a pretty big number of WP supporters...

There are a couple other ones in Regina that are quite good..Houston Pizza and Trifons pizza...Houstons was on food network Canad aas having one of the best pizzas...

I feel Houston Pizza blows Western Pizza away (personal preference). But, Houston/Western/Trifon all make an amazing pizza.

The best pizza can usually be found in independent, family-owned restaurants, not in chains like Pizza slut.

Best pizza? Many places rank up there.. Of the chains I prefer Pizza Delight and Boston Pizza.. But there are some great local establishments around like Miss Italia on 192 Curé-Poirier Ouest in Longueuil.

Worst pizza I ever had was at Megalos in Kingston. They really overdid it with the feta cheese.

true, best pizza is from the independents....but for a chain either Mamma's or Amato.

Real master pizza makers smoke between baking.
