For sure - that area is really bright now and this will just about double the amount of crazy bright advertisements.

Although, is it me or is construction taking a long time? I feel like I've been walking through those blue walls for as long as I can remember - and I have a decent memory!

RBC Foundation is down - Pics courtesy of kpad on Urbantoronto.ca

After Shangri-la, RBC Centre is the second tallest building under construction in Canada with a concrete foundation. - Its total hieght will be 180 meters or some 620 ft I believe. (isn't this that so old school - 2002 SSP styles. - not under construction until the foundation is poured)

B-A is taller but it is still being excavated/site prepped.

"10 years"

yep - 1997

(I shed a tear when they cut the billboard off the hoarding along Yonge and almost wet myself when a gap appeared in the hoarding itself but unfortunately, it was only temporary )

Here's a Calgary construction double whammy - Banker's Court in the foreground (in the actual ground...)

...and here's a Halifax triple shot with three cranes in a row standing at attention (this is from SSC).

Here are some taken around Vancouver today...

Shangri-La

The Melville

The three cranes visible in this pic represent three different towers going up. From closest to furthest they are the Flatiron, the Ritz, and the Sapphire, with the Melville visible in the background. That's four towers U/C next to and across the street from one another ranging from 300ft to 464ft.

Cielo

Two Harbour Green

The Fairmont

Woodwards

Spectrum

Vancouver is really rockin' with construction. And its flyin' below the radar so its a really nice surprise to see how much construction is going on there.

Mellville and Shaw are nice towers.

Pictures are courtesy of Sir Novelty Fashion - Toronto Urban Forum

RBC – Moving Up Fast - One of the tallest under construction in Toronto

Ritz Excavation – Moving Fast ( I believe the Second Tallest Under construction in Toronto as we speak) - BA is taller.

West One – I believe ( on of a million condos under construction in Toronto...)

Metropolis. ( Light up the night with neon and advertising!!!)
