Sapphire Tower

If anybody is interested there is an ad with the rendering of the building in todays Toronto Star on page A12. You have to admit it looks good. Only time will tell if he can pull this one off. I only hope he goes with a good marketing company this time. The ad in todays paper makes me think not however.

for sure a hell of a lot better than "dubai towers" which was one of the intermediate designs.

Why did Harry even buy this project? It was supposed to have started 4 years ago, as the Graphics Art Tower or something, then the Toronto Tower. Its been so long I've forgotten. Oh well Harry bought it, and its been a doomed property ever since.

Here is the picture supplied to us by Cassius, over at SSC. I think it is way less gimicky than the ball on a cylinder version, thus will age more gracefully. From what I can see, the front is stepped, and will catch the sunlight nicely. Adds a much needed punch of vibrant colour for the area:

Now, as long as it can actually get built....

We are waiting for confirmation from Cassius. I'm guessing around the 60 mark.

Personally, i dont like the colour. Its too garish, im not a big fan of vibrant buildings. Even scotia i wish was slightly less red. Its still much better than the ball-topped one though.

Scotia is not red like that in real life. It is just that colour in the rendering. I think a bright blue building would look amazing there.
Thanks for the height info, Whistler!
