^I thought we did rain or storm (not sure which one), but I hadn't been paying attention to the contests until about number 30. It's highly probable that we've been down this path before. I'm actually okay with repeating subjects as long as people enter new photographs.

Anyone got a comprehensive list? This is what I can remember (contest number is in brackets):

album (??)
crack (??)
motion (43)
nightlife (??)
panoramic (46)
performance (49)
seven (42)
statue (48)
surrealism
unusual (47)
water (50)
white (??)
skyscraper (??)
shallow depth of field (44)
urban exploration (45)

You know, it's a shame, because some of these threads have been pruned, but it would have been great to have made a list of all the contest themes and who won them.

I may have a few to pick from. This should be a cool contest producing a lot of beautiful pictures. I look forward to it.

I've got the list of subject, entrants, votes received and winners since #42 when I became [begin evil voice with overdone reverb effect]PHOTO CONTEST MASTER. I don't have all the individual photos though as I do occassionally prune my photobucket account.

Here's what the brain cells I haven't killed with beer yet and record keeping has given me:

Contest # - subject - winner
50 - water - ??
49 - performance - i_am_hydrogen
48 - statue - BroncoCSU05
47 - unusual - Upward
46 - panoramic - -AX-
45 - urban exploration - WZ1
44 - shallow depth of field - Ninjatune
43 - motion - Ninjatune
42 - seven - gripja
41 - crack - HomeInMyShoes
40 - skyscraper - ?? (might have been LSyd)
39 - curves - MJPhilly
?? - album - HomeInMyShoes
?? - nightlife - ??
?? - white - HomeInMyShoes
?? - surrealism - olga
?? - monument - ??

Additions? corrections? I will try to remember to post the list after each voting round ends for posterity and so the information isn't lost if I get hit by a bus trying to get that next photograph.

The administrators don't have server backups they could sift through to find the others for us do they? If we asked nicely and offered beer?

[edit] MJPhilly's comments

Curves must have been #39. I think that's the (only) one I won, and I picked Skyscraper as a subject.

I apologize if that's the case. I've only been following this contest for a few months. Ergo, I have no way of knowing previous themes.

Ask Ninjatune and see if he can help with the previous ones. Wasn't he doing them last year??

Good idea. PM sent.

No apology necessary i_am_hydrogen. Besides, I don't think good topics are bad to repeat.

Water has a lot of possibilities and as I said, as long as people aren't posting the same photos all the time then it's groovy.

I went thru my online pics and found some other contests, dont recall the actual contest number (who won them - idk.) maybe the winners will recall?

Still Life
Reflection. (my only other win)
Bridges.
Mystery.
Unusual pairs.
Long Exposure.
Empty.
Impact.
Vertigo.
Repitition.
Skin.

Maybe some others will come to me, but I lost a few old picture accounts recently.

Maybe a list would be a good idea for a new thread?

Are panos allowed? I know it says 800x600, what about 600x1935?

I may or may not use that one, but I was just wondering if it'd be acceptable. I have a few ideas I'm kicking around.

No capes. I mean panos.

It might be an unfair advantage in some contests so unless we decide it upfront with the topic I'd say no. Having said that, I probably wouldn't deny entry if someone accidently sent a message with a large entry attached to it.
