It's where east meets the west..
Where money and tradition works together hand in hand..
And where the cultures of the entire world meets and makes your dream comes true...

It's wonderful Singapore!

Note: The tread is a bit picture heavy - if you are having trouble seeing all the pics you can try reloading the page or setting your browsers setting to allow more space usage.. ( this tread uses ~ 3mb )

That's not all folks.... remember to check out the day edition too!

Singapore is absolutely delightful
It makes me feel so good knowing that in less than 6 months I'll be somewhere in one of those pictures enjoying a cocktail or Tiger beer at the waterfront and watching the beautiful lights

^ have you picked a hotel yet?

I surgest one close to ( or by ) the river.. the place is loaded at night every day of the week... ( I loved walking along the water - and as you can see the view doesn't get any better )

I stayed at Merchants Court and will certainly recommend that!

If you mean bland in a sense of "boring" then I might disagree. Yes, I've heard people saying that but that's just not true! Singapore is one hell of a lively place be it day or night. The variety of restaurants, stylish waterfront cafes at night is just staggering, and they are hardly empty. It's true, it's very clean, tidy, ordered and strict. But isn't it what all other cities are trying to be (but still can't achieve it)? Singapore, in my opinion, is what most would call a "perfect city"... and that's not only in terms of visual appeal or just some specific topics. It's in terms of pretty much everything: transport, safety, cleanliness, nightlife, shopping, urban planning... etc. There seems to be a balance of everything and amazingly it does work! I wouldn't spend my money to go there again if it wasn't so fascinating.

Haha, ok thanks
I'm after some budget options though... because I'll do a little more traveling around SE Asia (Malaysia, Thailand, Macau, HK...) so I'll need my £ for other activities too
But I can't wait to get back to Singapore. I just fell in love with the place

The M Hotel was nice. Not TOO pricey either. It's near the Tanjong Pagar underground station. Means you can walk through the financial district or Chinatown to get to the river.

If you have the $, a night at the Westin Stamford was absolute quality!
