^They usually come in from the ocean during the winter storms, but some do hang around in summer too.

The shots are really crisp Mike. I love 'em. I can't believe I've only been there once this year. I'm such a slacker.

Awesome shots!

Your best shot is of the pretty girl on the pier!

Do you use photoshop? if not which one?

I'm using a MAC, iPhoto....it does not seem to let me change the pixel size.

I usually see flocks of them in the middle of winter eating from the trash cans of the ski resorts.

Beautiful photos.

There are always seagulls at Tahoe. They are also at all the big lakes in Nevada. Pyramid Lake, Walker Lake, and Lake Mead. Not only that but they hang out at parks and parking lots in Reno fighting over trash.

Or 25-40 minutes from Carson City & Reno, depending on your perspective (i.e. those of us who don't think the universe automatically revolves around California). Although, you are correct that the majority (roughly 2/3 of the lake) lies within the California border.

To the OP, great pics! I'm always amazed at the clarity of the lake. It's very rare to find any inland bodies of water w/ such clarity.

Just a couple random pics I found that show what I am talking about.

Thank you everyone

A couple shots are HDR, but for the most part you can't tell the difference
between what's what. That was one of those clear great days on the lake.
