I don't particularly care for it. But maybe it's just me. Where at on Westheimer would this be built? In the Galleria area?

i think it's much too early in the design stage to judge this. it looks like it could be something pretty cutting-edge, or it could turn out to be a couple of oddly stacked boxes.

it's definitely something different.

What a lousy computer rendering. If we could see something other than a stack of boxes it might be exciting. The design does hold promise though.

A sort of realistic 80 South Street? I think it could be great.

I agree. For it to even register on that skyline it shouldn't be any less than 400~450 feet tall. But I like the idea so far, it just needs to be taller.

I actually think this is a design that hasn't been explored enough by architects. I'd certainly rather have this than a few other "modern designs".

No, this project isn't for the Galleria area/Uptown. This will be located at 524 Westheimer. That puts it deep in the heart of the Avondale area of the Montrose very close to midtown Houston.

I see. Still with kind of unique design, it should be taller to stand out among the croud.

Maybe it's just the computer renderings. I just don't like the boxiness of it at all in these renderings, particularly the top 2 boxes that are almost identically aligned.

this could be a good proposal, but yeah, the computer rendering is boring.. I'll wait until the real rendering comes out before I make an opinion

I proposed this back in 85' when I was three. Here is a photo of my assistant at the time constructing the model:

I think the "Jenga" tower planned for Jersey City just multiplied.

Not my cup of tea.

Yeah... I don't buy this style. Just some boxes stacked in uneven/odd ways. Although at 24 stories it won't be terrible, I just wouldn't want something like this to dominate a skyline.

Agreed. Interesting concept, but an ugly design.
