update from today - this tower really starting to capture and enhance the kind of industrial futurism theme of a lot of modern architecture in and around the City of London - check out the top of the Shard with its exposed steel work for further reference to this theme

I love the yellow steel going in on the back side of the tower. Doesn't this change color as it goes up? Or will it be painted?

Stunning photos. I remember when I first saw the renderings for this project some 8 years ago and waiting for this to be built. Now it's finally well on its way! It will be a gorgeous addition to the City's skyline. A truly unique structure and one of my favorites.

Incidentally, what is the purpose of having yellow steel? Is it used for labeling a part of the structure? Corrosion sealant? Just curious.
