Wonderful photos!

FYI, this building with the billboard and the adjacent vacant lot are the location of a planned 1200 ft building which Renzo Piano is now designing:

Even though SF isn't the first place one would think of when the subject of skyscrapers and dense downtowns, I'm always impressed with the urban canyons in dt SF. Some of the views remind you of lower Manhattan around Wall Street.

Never Jaded Over This Place!

Thanks PBuchman! I love to see others' pictorial representations of our City--they still thrill me and reinforce why I so deeply crave living here. To all of you who have not visited, come on out!!

Funny you should say this. For years San Francisco was called the "Wall Street of the West" and of course it's favorite nickname has been for as long as I've lived simply "the City" which indicates urban density. San Francisco was sprouting skyscrapers long before most of the other western cities were so it should be a city that comes to your mind when you think of skyscrapers and dense downtowns.

How did I miss this thread back in May? These are fantastic. You captured a lot of the layering effect I was trying to show in my thread yesterday (except you've done it much better). In fact, I unwittingly almost exactly duplicated a couple of yours. Nice job!
