Canadian City Proposals

Alright guys and gals, we all have some kick ass proposals out there and it's time to share them. All I ask is that nobody posts Trump, Sapphire(lol), or The Bow since it's pretty obvious that's underway. This one has nothing to do with, though it can.

I'm going to start with Pier 27, one of the projects looking to kick start the development of Toronto's East Waterfront. Released today (May 29th 2007). Click the link.

Show us your goods!

A different design there.

This is the Radius office development in Victoria. It will be at the north end of downtown and will be the tallest office building in the city. A 17 storey residential tower and a university are also part of the development.

Here's a super cool animation of it - http://www.radiuscommercial.com/floorplates.html

Sweet Dylan, that was super cool! That's a pretty massive development, way to go.

A $200 million development of free land steps away from Regina's downtown. These are preliminary renderings.

University Canada West is a private university that will be moving into this development. You can see it's location in the development if you go to the floorplates link and click on Blanshard Level and Herald & Caledonia Level. http://www.radiuscommercial.com/floorplates.html

Is that really where they're going to put it? It's gonna stick out pretty badly.

I don't much like the building itself. In the right setting, it could be pretty cool but I agree with ctown.myth...it doesn't look right there. I think it needs to be in a spot with a complementary setting, not a contrasting setting.

Prince Arthur's Landing, a $100M dollar project to completely rebuild and expand the Marina Park. This is just a small part of the city's waterfront master plan. Construction has already started, and two chains are fighting over the hotel.

George Jeffrey Children's Centre, should begin construction later this summer if they have the money for it.

There is also a new courthouse that will likely be built downtown but renderings aren't available yet as they're still unsure of where it's going.

Good for you Victoria! It reminds me of the taller look-a-like in Vancouver...don't worry, it still looks great!
