The Halifax forumers have deduced that the ALT hotel in our community is replacing the Sheraton proposal for the Halifax Stanfield Int'l Airport. The building in the background is the existing parkade with its pedestrian walkway over the pick-up road.

Now wait just a minute. It is ugly, but it is not Regina ugly. Regina is the poop standard of bad architecture.

An early proposal for a five storey commercial and residential building in Victoria's Old Town, designed by Chow Low Hammond Architects.

The black box which appears on the top of the building is actually the basic massing of another building proposed for behind it (the Sovereign).

UrbanToronto founding member Billy Corgan took these shots of the model that sat in the atrium of MaRS. We'll start with a shot from the northwest, like the Photoshopped image above, but from closer to the ground.

Higher, from the north.

Lower again, a bit east of the previous spot.

From the east.

From the southeast.

Closing in, from the west.

And a last tight shot from the north.

Daily proposal? You make it sound like this is some fresh project. For those here who don't know, this halted construction over a year ago and has been on hold ever since.

Toronto is the behemoth of proposals in Canada right now lol. A skyline of only proposed & U/C towers could still compete with Calgary & Vancouver.

I think you are right, and there are 125 towers of all sizes under construction as we speak here. almost enough to make a reasonable sized downtown for almost any city in Canada.. And of course even just our proposals and under construction towers would the tallest in the country right now..
