perfectly adequate.

another two-tower proposal for calgary.
i would have preferred a single, taller tower, mixed use -and a rectangular square.

hey, the porsche gt and maybach in second last pic didn't escape my detection! very nice.

They can't go taller due to the shadowing rules for the Bow river pathway just to the north a couple of blocks.

Wow, I haven't looked at this thread in a while. Shangri-La Montreal looks promising, as does Calgary City Centre.

That tower's location is part of the Bonaventure Expressway (our Gardiner).

The elevated expressway will be demolished pretty soon, and if everything goes according to plan, Shangri-La's lot will be free in 2013...

2013 start? that's a long way off.

I'm really glad we didn't build a freeway through our downtown.

Interesting, though it looks like something we would build in Calgary. Better rendering needed.

Nice infill. Stuff like this tends to get passed by on this forum but it makes more of a difference to a city than 99% of the highrises we all obsess over.

Looks like something we need to build in Edmonton. We seriously lack something like this. Regardless it is an amazing structure, love it .

Looks good. It's pretty typical commercial street infill not that I'm saying there is anything wrong with that. In fact, I'll take an order of 100, please!

This is being discussed in three different threads, but whatever. Design competitions exciting by nature, so its not unexpected. Anyway, my order of preference is, coincidently, the order they were posted.

1. SPF
2. Nouvel
3. S + P

..the rest

Ditto. 4 is dated and 5 currently leaves me speechless.
