World's Tallest Progressions - UPDATED 14/9/2007

Morning peeps,

About a year ago now, I posted a thread showing what I understood to be the real-time progressions of various structure types in order to hopefully benefit the forum. Response was generally positive, yet, at the same time, many mistakes/inadequacies were present. Having done far more online research since, I've now been able to amend a good few of these; the results, I think, are far clearer now, but you'll all be the judges of that.

(Note again: excepting the first, all following lists are real-time tallest progressions, NOT dates/years when structures were finished)

*Updated 29/7/2007*

how has the Burj Dubai taken over anything in the "by roof" categories yet? It's roof hasn't been constructed yet. It doesn't have a roof.

Your right. It has like 130 roofs!

Officially it doesn't have the tallest one because it's not finished but it is true that it has the highest roof so far.
