SSP Art-Deco Design Competition

This competition is to measure you pure design and creative abilities. Your job is to design an art-deco building of any size, amount of floors, and for any use.

There will be a poll thread open on the date August 10, 2007 so people can vote for their favorite building. You CANNOT post your design prior to that date. Any who do so will be taken out of the competition.

Most of you already know what the rules are, but for those of you who do not I'll post them again.

Rules:

-No Textures
-No windows
-only pure design
-nothing from 3-D wharehouse

Please for those who want to join in the competiton, please announce it on this thread prior to the poll date.
I'll also ask that someone please make a seperate poll thread for us to vote on the date of the 10th. Whoever does so please PM me so that I know prior to putting the thread out.

The designs will be posted on that poll thread "AND NOTHING ELSE" on the day of the 10th, so people can view all the designs and then vote.
Everybody who decides to join, have funa and good luck.

Everybody who decides to join the competiton MAKE SURE YOU HAVE READ ALL THE RULES, good luck, and most of all have fun!

Thank you.

I will do it, however, I believe you should alter those rules a little. Yes, pure design, as in, no whole-building textiures, however, the entire facades can be designed including windows and up-close textures (like "stucco" or "concrete" for example) may be used so the buildings have not just a plain appearance. Those who agree with this please say so, so the rules can officially be changed.

The point of this project is to showcase your ability in design therefore a pure white building would be best.

You can use google textures like concrete. roofing, etc...., if you wish.

I think we need to , window design and colour shemes are 2 elements that strongly define a deco design

Someone else either make a new thred or take charge of this one. I'll still put in an entry, but I no longer want to run the competition. Sorry.

but maybe we can have 2 divisions like austin mentioned , 1 - plain white/some plain texture 2- with hand drawn windows

these comps are never easy to agree on
