PHILLY | HIGHLY Comcastic

On a hazy, overcast, stiflingly hot and humid afternoon, Bill Slowsky and I chewed the fat over some iced tea and biscuits and then made our way up to his future home, Comcast Center, to see the world the way Brian Roberts will in a few months.

Here's to you, Bill!

Starting at the lower level of the lobby, this area will connect to the Suburban Station concourse and, by extension, the 3.5 mile Center City underground concourse.

From the lift...

...to the top.

You can see the current or former homes of three SSP forumers and the former high school of another here.

Can you imagine ten buildings reaching a thousand feet in the sky planted solely within the footprint of this railway? Because someone has.

Eat it, Transbay Towers.

One of the infamous waterless urinals.

Did I mention it was hot?

I would say "Comcastic" or something, but the pope's mom already said it.

Good god, man. Beautiful buildings, but somehow I can't help but think of the dirty hand of capitalism building huge shiny skyscrapers on the backs of the working class in the background. It's like a photo essay for social stratification.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bill Slowsky, LOL. I had to google that like...where do I know him from? Is he the interior decorator? Hahahaha.

I thought you were talking about the waterless urinals here. LOL. I guess this is more of a urineless invisible urinal.
