Summer In and Around Portland

Some random shots taken in the last few months. Locations include downtown, PSU, Lents/Outer Southeast, Cully, Forest Park/Rose Gardens, Beaverton, and the Bonneville Dam area.

That's it for now.

Nice photos. Interesting to see areas outside of downtown and the Pearl District. I went to the Rose Garden a week or two ago. I'm not a flower guy or anything, but that place is amazing! Thanks for the pics!

Cool. Portland and Oregon in general always have such a natural beauty and artistic aspect.

Is it me (I never been to Portland), but does Portland look so Pittsburgish in the Portland threads?

Good pics, nice tour

I enjoyed the photos.......to be honest, my favorite parts of the city are not the gentrified and trendy areas that are constantly being photographed, but the oddball areas not held in high praise. Sadly, the way things are going, some of these older/lower income neighberhoods shown ( ie: Lents ) will be over-run shortly. I do not know what is worse, tearing down beautiful historic buildings or gentrifying these unique nieghberhoods.

Funny to see Foster and Powell and out by the 205 on SSP. Portland has its "other side" or "Tanya country." It isn't all slick like the Pearl, SoWa, Downtown and Orenco Station.

Beautiful city. I'm jealous that you have narrower (i.e. friendlier and nicer looking) streets than we do.
