Kind of popped in my head today that Central Park East looks like the Century Plaza condo in midtown, no?

You don't think so? The glass panel colors, with the alternating deep blue and light blue?

looks quite a bit different to me as well. I can see what you mean with it being the same overall theme. but the colors are way off.

I look at OCPE from my bedroom window and have a pretty good picture in my head for comparison.

The view from the I-10 Freeway eastbound is pretty awesome now that OCPE is topped off. At night the construction lights glow with full intensity compared to the dimly lit towers of downtown.

here is the latest webcam shot from the convention center. It looks like the entire crown is up...

Also i remember someone saying that the official height was going to be like 342' Just looking at the webcam it looks at least above 360. Does anyone know what the height is including the crown?

The webcam is deceiving. It looks to be around 340-350' when compared to the Sheraton in person.

OCPE is awesome. It looks great at the height it is now, but would look so sweet as a new tallest. Thanks for the pics.

Was the compass room rotating? I can't remember the last time I've seen it moving.

Nice night pics.

^ The Compass Room has always rotated as far as I know, only from the inside though.

honestly I think that looks way out of place. Maybe at 510' or 525' but not that tall. Anyways wasnt the original plans to have a second tower?

Out of place but cool in my opinion, sort of like the black tower in Seattle...
