BEIRUT | The Beirut Marina and Renovation of the Historical Downtown

The Beirut Marina and Beirut Central District

L e b a n o n

Welcome to the largest urban renovation project in the world! The Lebanese Capital Beirut had completely changed in less then 10 years
under the company of Solidere. Buildings damaged by decades of war that could be salvaged were restored meticulously to match the old architecture.
Phase I of the renovation project was completed in 2004 and phase II (highrise phase) has started, with an all new Beirut Marina planned that is currently
under construction and a second Beirut Marina on the reclaimed land to be completed in 2025.

Looking down at the Beirut Souks. Once completed, it will become one of the top shopping destinations in the Middle East.

God, I love Beirut! These photos are gorgeous. I hope you know who can keep it's finger off the trigger long enough for Lebanon to return to what it once was.
