It looks like several of the renderings on Wulfe's BLVD Place website have been updated to include the designs of the Hanover and Ritz Carlton towers.

Cool find.

The end result is one less tower than all the early renderings though.

That said, the Hanover Tower appears to be about 390 to 410 feet tall if these renderings are to scale and the Ritz appears to be well over 600 feet!

It's skyscraperhenge. Us skyscraper geeks dance around it in the moonlight and sing folk songs.

A number of them already do have plans to be replaced with mid and highrises.

Here's a shot of the first building to top out, across Post Oak. Directly behind it, I believe they're starting to build a parking garage that will integrate into this building and another that will also have mixed retail & office space.

It's exciting. I can envision Post Oak becoming a magnificent and vibrant boulevard, almost a Houstonian Magnificent Mile, after 10-20 years of continued redevelopments like this.

Thanks to the forumers keeping us out-of-towners up to date with photographs.

This is a really cool development, in a really unique area. These southern cities fascinate me.

are you sure? the strip center (with the california pizza kitchen and the luby's) was just remodeled so i'm afraid it will be around for a while in its current incarnation. it's just that everything else nearby is being replaced by new development.

Yes, though we're talking about 5 years + down the line, something that would build off the type of development at BLVD Place. Reasons for long-term plans include rail availability and immediate nearby competition.

The first phase is still under construction, and the website's rendering of the Whole Foods has been updated to include the Ritz & Hanover towers.

Houston is such an amazing metro. How far is the area in the foreground from Downtown Houston. Also, I see a major road farther out with major developments at various intervals. What is that road?
