$550,000 for a loft? Damn, you could get a fairly large house for that much. I tell ya, the loft is hot!

Good to hear!!

I haven't found a price list, but from the "Cambridge factory joins condo rush" article above, I found the price range.

Prices range from $189,000 to $550,000

They have updated their site since last time too.

A mix of features I like and don't like, especially the slanted ceilings in the bathroom and the third-last photo with the fireplace.

Ran by there today and there's a sign up on the building that says "now under construction". So finally we get to change the status of this puppy to U/C!

They've been preparing the site for a while, now, tearing down ruined later add-ons to the main buildings.

You can hear the sounds of construction inside the building today. I saw a man in the back of the building using what looked and sounded like a jackhammer to create windows where they were once filled in. I'll try to get pictures later on.

Today: Boards removed from windows in the back of the building and some work is being done in the front.

They've made some progress on the section farther from Water Street, but all action seems to have ground to a halt. Any news?

The Grand Lofts

Just joined. The project just received site plan approval on June 18th, 2010 and have also resubmitted drawings to the Building Division to address a deficiency letter. This has been a very long process to say the least. Communications to buyers has not taken place. Real estate agents have left the project and you can only be seen by appointment. Many who bought ( I am one of them ) was looking forward to this project. Last time on site, a few windows have been put in...no other progress that I can see. Many who bought are very disappointed. I would appreciate any feedback or updates. It appears that this project could take 1 or 2 more years. Another project was completed in downtown Galt by AAK Development. I believe it was Commerical on the main floor and Residential on the second. TX.

I was interested in learning about the Grand Lofts and purchasing a unit so I drove by the grand lofts today. The site is really busy and they are working on the dormers, can anyone tell me more in regards to this. It seems as if this project is in the nearing stages of completion can anyone give me anymore information.

More info can be found at their website here....http://www.thegrandlofts.ca/

This is going to go a long way to help out the south end of downtown Galt.
