Fantastic. Pardon my ignorance, but is this the first genuine supertall in Europe (or does that go to the Moscow tower??)
\\

edit: answered my own question. It is, although Moscow has one that will be taller when completed: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercury_City_Tower

Didn't you notice on the plane when you started talking, eventually I started reading the vomit bag?

I can't wait to see what the top looks like at night time. It should be the most visually significant aspect of the design.

Thumbs up Dusk shot is natural beauty

Wow the Shard looks stunning in the dusk! Shame it was not taller! I think it would have looked even better taller - London is a better place with Shard - London needs more buildings like this!

The 1950's-70's post-war period wasn't the most tasteful era for architecture, and there was much rebuilding to be done. Fortunately I think it's most of the brutalist and boxy crap that will be demolished to make way for the sleek contemporary skyscrapers, instead of old beauties.

Love it, looks great! What will happen at those tip top 4 or 5 open air levels? And any broadcast leasing going on here? This tower is genius.

Forgive me for going way off-topic, but I noticed the "Keyword: Lord of the Rings" at the bottom of that image.

Oh, the late-90's/early-2000's...
