Supposedly in the planning stages from summer 2005 on, the project was finally declared dead in July 2011 after the location land was foreclosed on and sold at auction.

This should be built, just not in Nola. Baton Rouge needs this. Nola has a beautiful hotel selection already. Share the wealth like peanut butter, spread it around. Every time I'm in BR the hotel selection is abysmal and a bit antiquated.

I agree. BR needs more hotels. Would love to see BR's downtown come alive.
