I'm rarely if ever in Coquitlam and I was blown away by how many tall towers have been recently built or u/c in such a small area. I was also surprised by the quality of architecture/materials, alot nicer than most residential buildings in Burnaby or Surrey.

the council is pretty fussy - they have done pretty good and are patient to create the "downtown" Coquitlam is lacking

not too long ago - like maybe two years? it was some dumpy old houses - quite crazy to see the changes
