Another armoured gang car seized in Metro Vancouver

Police in Metro Vancouver have seized another armoured car they say is linked to gangs.
West Vancouver Police first stopped the vehicle on Friday at a routine traffic stop and noticed it was equipped with bullet-resistant windows and ballistic armour.
They seized the vehicle because the alterations left it in violation of the B.C. Motor Vehicle Act, said police.
The 32-year-old Surrey man who owns the vehicle is a known gang member, police said, and he can't get the car back on the road until it complies with all federal and provincial regulations.
In December, Vancouver police seized two armoured cars they linked to gang activity as part of a crackdown that followed a string of fatal gang shootings.
