Yeah, I see what you mean...it does kind of.

I which it wasn't brick. There is just way to many brick buildings in this city.

Actually it looks like the Condos out by the Home Depot in Clayton Park.

It looks to have the same cladding design as the bankrupt one up the street as well as Armoury Place... the faux-stone concrete blocks on the bottom and red brick disease above. Sad.

I don't mind brick cladding per se, but this development does look suburban. I agree that it is very similar to condos in Clayton Park.

That being said, I still think it's an improvement.

It reminds me a lot of the Lexington. If it turns out that way, I will be pleased, if it turns out like something in Clayton Park, well, I don't really need to say...

Yeah, it looks like the Lexington on steroids. Nice, though.

I was walking by this today and i noticed they demolished the house(s) on the other side of wellington street. Its a very small lot but does anyone know what they are going to do with this?

Unfortunately i didn't have my camera on me but on the Wellington street corner of the building they had outlines of the windows on the first couple of floors.

Believe the cancer society bought the house and tore it down. Not indications of the building they own expanding yet.

That is sad. Halifax is losing alot of quality buildings... I'm not an advocate for the hertiage trust, but I would like to see some developments on new lands.

What's interesting is that the Heritage Trust is silent on important issues like demolition. They are more anti-development then pro-heritage.
