Reinventing Ottawa (RO) is a blog dedicated to helping to set a new image for Ottawa. It's a city-building blog with a focus on urban planning, industry building and communicating fresh ideas for the Capital.

Not really much helpful but it does have some commercial bits, such as the recent Freeman/St-Joseph strip mall. Not sure if the Tasse group will do a lot of new projects in the future. They mostly cover the areas along the Gatineau River such as Touraine and Pointe-Gatineau and it is mostly for existing appartment buildings/condos.

RSS feed for City of Ottawa development applications

Using ScraperWiki, I've hacked up an RSS feed for updates to the city's Development Applications site:

http://scraperwikiviews.com/run/ottawa-devapps-rss/

Scraperwiki is a bit flaky, so you may not see updates the day they're posted,
but it's a heck of a lot more convenient than checking the city's site.

Old condo floor plans

Ever wondered what the floor plans looked like for older condo buildings in Ottawa? The newest posting on my blog shares some interesting plans from Ottawa's mid-century modern buildings. I also have other postings that may be of interest! http://modernrealtor.blogspot.com/20...rn-condos.html

Downtown Ottawa by Canadian Urban Institute

A study released on May 16 by the Canadian Urban Institute, a Toronto-based not-for-profit think tank, the study looked at the downtowns of 10 of the country’s largest cities (has a big Ottawa's profile):
