[Halifax] Crown Bay l 15 m l 6 fl l Completed

A condominium development out on St. Margaret's Bay Rd. I can't say I've heard too much about this one other than that it is currently pre-selling units.

Developer website here.

There was an ad in the community herald this week for Crown Bay. Judging by the small picture available it under construction and is on the frame.

This has been under construction for quite a few months now and will probably near completion within the next few months.

Once again I was by this building recently and they are working from the top down. I believe they were on the third floor when I was by.

You got that right, at least on the exterior finish. I droive by it the other day and it looks like they are trying to do a Spice kind of concept with sections in different colors, but are doing it on the cheap with regular vinyl siding. So you have a bunch of mostly pastel shades all mixed together in sections of vinyl faux-clapboard. Looks horrendous.

So I was by this again today and now they've added a crap load of glass to the bottom two floors.

I didn't get a good look but it seemed to look okay ...

Since there's been a lack of photos for this and the threads outdated I decided to take a detour on my way home yesterday and get this shot;

EDIT: btw Mod's the threads title should be "[Halifax] Crown Bay | ~15m | 7fl | U/C"

There's an ad in today's paper saying this is now habitable so maybe someone can change the thread name to;

"[HALIFAX] Crown Bay | ~15m | 7fl | Complete"

Somebody should post a few pics of this ugly building. If someone does that and the sign is still up, please post the name of the architect so we know who to avoid in the future.

I really like this one because of its uniqueness and it appears to be built into the side of a hill. Are they completing the stone arches in front as in the renderings?
