Cool R@PTOR's Best of 2007

It’s time for my annual ‘Best of’ thread. Due to personal events and moving from Germany to Amsterdam I didn’t travel as much in 2007 as in previous years and
only made it to 9 countries. Still, I had a fantastic time during my travels and took over 25,000 photos during the year. I made quite a few trips within Europe
and left the continent twice for two 2.5 week trips each to Morocco and Egypt. However only the first half of my Egypt photos is included in this thread, since
my second part of the trip was in 2008, thus these will be included in my Best of 2008 thread in a year.

Holy shit, what a year.
Seems like you never get tired of travelling the globe, R@ptor.

Very nice variation in scenes (- and quality).

Lots of places in here. Makes me wonder where 2008 will take you, Raptor. Love the Paris, Rotterdam and Prague panos!

2008 promises to be a really good year when it comes to travelling. So far the travels which are basically 100% certain are a 7.5 week Southeast-Asia trip (Vietnam/Thailand/Laos/Cambodia/Malaysia/Singapore) from June to August and city trips to Madrid, Copenhagen, Lisbon and London.

Then I will go on another 2 week trip in December/January, but I haven't decided on a destination yet. Probably a trip through Cuba. And of course I will travel a lot inside the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.

Well, let's say it this way...you'll have a hard time to find a multi-million inhabitant third-world-city that isn't dirty. Casablanca was just as dirty as Cairo, but you'll get used to it after a couple of days. The more touristic cities like Luxor and Assuan in Egypt and Marrakech and Fes in Morocco were a bit cleaner.

But both countries are definitely worth a visit and have both their advantages and disadvantages.

Egypt has the far more spectacular historic sites of course, the better tourist infrastructure, its much safer than Morocco and more people speak English. Morocco on the other hand has the more spectacular landscape, its more diverse, the food is way better and you are able to rent a car and drive around the country on your own.

What a trip !! What a way you have to combine pictures. Morocco !! One of the most photogenic country I've been to. Even a bad photographer can't do wrong. So, we don't even need to imagine what a brilliant one could do : you just showed it to us !!
