Funny how the car gets a bigger bedroom than any of the people.

But it's in Moncton!! Moncton is the Thunder Bay of New Brunswick! All I'll get is worse weather.

I don't need an extra floor. I barely use the single floor I have now!

The only difference is the fact people used to move here from inside the province instead of leaving the city.

Thats it? I would have thought 239,900 could buy you a lot more in Thunder Bay.

Vantage Pointe notwithstanding, it's a pretty good location. It's only a couple blocks away from 17th Ave, a big park, and a 5-minute walk from the CBD. Oh, and there are two big grocery stores (Safeway and Co-op) within 2 or 3 blocks.

No, Edmundston is the Thunder Bay. Moncton is the Los Angeles of New Brunswick. Unfortunately, New Brunswick is also the New Brunswick of Canada.

Still, I bet if you went there I bet you'd be amazed by the running water, electricity, etc.

I was comparing Northern Ontario to New Brunswick, not Ontario as a whole.

Their former Premier said that Thunder Bay today is like Moncton ten years ago. The mayor said it was excellent news, and was thrilled at the optimism of his message.

LOL!

You could probably get a decent-sized closet in Vancouver for that much.

Boris, that one's in Dorchester Square- it has post tension cabling (caveat emptor- this always increases condo fees and makes it REALLY important that reserve fund studies are done as scheduled); and because so many of its units are rentals, it wasn't CMHC insured- that might have changed by now of course. But I had a friend who lived there and I thought it was a nice building, from the inside at least.

Just a couple years ago you could buy a similar house in the same neighbourhood for around $180,000-$190,000... the whole area around (esp just east of) Gage Park is becoming a very popular area for out-of-towners to buy in.

Better get your Hamilton real estate while it's still cheap, kids!
