Ah, so the building next to the parking in the background? I guess that would be the only viable way to build anything on that corner, the parking is too small.

Only "nice" building would be the one on the corner of King and Wellington.
The building bordering the parking lot on Wellington (not on the corner) is worth keeping too.

The non-descript buildings on King I don't care about losing, but I much prefer them to this fugly mismatch yellow/black brick monstrosity that looks like it was pulled from the Triangle neighbourhood on Jean-Talon.

Old Montreal deserves better.

Agreed, although that isn't really Old Montreal. By themselves, none of those buildings are particularly significant, but within the context of the location they add to the post industrial lofty feel of the hood. That pile of dreck adds nothing.

I know it isn't that simple but there are heaps of vacant parking further up between William and St-Maurice. I'd love to see that developed without whacking out existing structures.

Makes you wonder why they didn't simply extend this building right out to Wellington. Probably some asshole holdout who refused to sell so they just said "Fine, fuck you."

Counted both of them as one building while looking fast on streetview, but they are indeed 2 different ones and worth keeping.

I agree this design isn't that great, especially the color, replace the yellow brick with red one and it's already 100 times better looking and fitting for that part of town. Then include the existing building described above and you could get something nice

I can't believe they're gonna tear down these two buildings to build what someone aptly referred to as "puke-boxes".

And where's Bumbaru on this one hein? Yet he's there in a flash to defend that 1950's Windsor station annex monstrosity.

40 floors * 4 meters per floor gives 160m.
If it is 4.5, it would be 180m.

That is excellent.

They started putting on some of the cladding on the MUHC superhospital. It was hard to tell from the Turcot, but it didn't look as horrible as I had expected (it is white like in the plans though).

I also noticed that Evolo is already easily visible from the south shore.

So we're talking about 40 floors of office or some office with a residential/hotel component ? Because if its is only office, this project is shit out of luck.
