I'm going to Paris in May - can't wait! I'll definately give this thread some more time before I go and write down the names of streets and districts that look interesting. Thanks a lot for writing the street names! This is definately something I have to see with my own eyes.

Minato Ku, thanks for posting such great photos! In looking at them, I feel like I've walked all over Paris. And that's exactly what I'm about to do for the first time -- I'll be there for 4 days next week. (Very excited.) Any suggestions for must-see locales that are off the standard Etoile-Eiffel-Louvre-Notre Dame tourist radar? I'm staying in Montparnasse near station Vavin. Someone told me to go to Butte aux Cailles. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

La Butte au Caille is a village like district in the 13th arrondissment, anyway it is close to many high-rises, you could have some of most improbable streetscape view of Paris.

Faubourg de l'Arche (Courbevoie)

Avenue du General Leclerc (14th arrondissement)
