I think we all forgot about the Shangri-la webcam

***Webcam location changes every few seconds (or try reloading the page)...

I took some screenshots from the Shangri-la promo video... Hope they don't mind

This building has a HUGE impact on the skyline from all angles. Period.

These shots will look great alongside trump, ritz, rbc, bay adelaide, etc...

I can't WAIT for this one to rise

You're right, it's going to change the landscape of the west side of the downtown quite a lot...

Not to nitpick, but FCP is actually 298 m (978 ft), not 296.

I haven't visited that thread, so I don't know what's going on there, but I do know that FCP has always been advertised as 298 meters, 978 ft. Wikipedia has conflicting info.

Maybe there's a self-flagellation movement on the FCP reclad thread.

FCP could still be 298 metres but it's highly unlikely. I've seen a number of city documents which pretty much confirm something inbetween 295 to 296 metres. The 298 actually originated from an unofficial source providing no source evidence. It was used in the "World Tallest" lists which later was absorbed by a fledgling skyscrapers.com. From there is spread out like wildfire to be the official height for FCP. You can cite all the websites/books pertaining to the 298 metre height but, keep in mind Emporis has become the exclusive source for researching height data (beyond going to city hall)

I haven't taken a measuring tape to the building myself, so I don't know, but if you say Emporis is the authority on height data, it has FCP listed at 298.10 m.

I correct my previous post...

2 floors to go!... not 1.5

Either way we're still very close to ground level
