I spent part of Memorial Day weekend hanging out in Marin County, north of San Francisco, which has a lot of really neat, mostly affluent communities, crammed between the many mountain ridges that make up the rugged topography. According to wikipedia, the 2000 census listed Marin County as having the highest per capital income in the US. It is very beautiful and provides some of the greatest fews of SF. Enough of the city, back to Marin...
San Rafael (pop 55,550) is the county seat and, I believe, the largest city in Marin County. San Rafael has a nice and relatively active downtown. I don't think it has quite reached its potential, but, there is a lot of positive development going on. And on a random note, my father was actually born here in 1954.
Wells Fargo could do better...
